Job Description

Located at the MERCK facility in West Point, SodexoMagic is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Grill Cook to join their team on a full-time basis. The hourly pay for this position ranges between $17 and $19, reflecting the company's commitment to competitive compensation. The work schedule primarily consists of weekday morning shifts, with specific details to be discussed during the interview process.

As a Grill Cook at SodexoMagic, you will play a vital role in preparing and crafting nutritious and delicious dishes while placing customer service and food quality at the forefront of your duties. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, have a passion for culinary arts, and a strong dedication to minimizing food waste.

Responsibilities for this position include preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. A Grill Cook must be proficient in reading, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to precise recipes. The position may involve operating grill stations, fryers, and other kitchen equipment, as well as engaging directly with customers in some instances.

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events

  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
