The Grill Cook role at SodexoMagic located at Stillman College is a part-time position offering an hourly wage ranging from $13.14 to $17.77. This position involves working varying shifts with open availability preferred, catering to breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. As a Grill Cook, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality, nutritious meals while maintaining the highest standards of food preparation and customer service. Your responsibilities will involve preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items efficiently and accurately according to recipes. You may also be operating grill stations, fryers, and other kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and safety standards are upheld.

This job requires you to work as a reliable team player who not only prepares delicious food but also contributes to minimizing food waste and creating a pleasant dining experience for customers.   • Ability to work varying shifts, including days and hours with open availability preferred

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned which may differ depending on business necessities and client requirements
  • Reduce food waste by efficient and proper handling of ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the work area
