The Grill Cook position at Sodexo, located at Tufts Medical Center, offers a full-time opportunity with a pay range between $22 and $24 per hour. This role is vital in delivering a positive dining experience to customers by preparing and serving nutritious and appealing meals. As a Grill Cook, you will play an essential role in the food service team, working collaboratively to reduce food waste and maintain high standards of food quality and safety. The position includes responsibilities such as accurately preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a variety of hot and cold dishes for different meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Open availability for varying shifts including days and hours
- Ability to follow recipes and prepare food according to standards
- Basic food safety knowledge
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment operation
Job Duties
- Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
- Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
- May prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
- Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
- Perform other duties as assigned depending on business necessities and client requirements
