The Line Cook plays a critical role in maintaining the high food quality and safety standards Fresco is known for. Reporting directly to the general manager or the team leader, the Line Cook has a hands-on role in the daily preparation of menu items and the smooth operation of the kitchen station. This includes responsibilities such as setting up and stocking the cooking station, cooking various dishes according to specific recipes, and maintaining a clean and orderly workstation. The role demands physical stamina, with the ability to stand for extended periods and handle lifting up to 40 pounds. While ServSafe certification is not required, it is preferred, highlighting the company's commitment to high food safety standards.

  • Prior cooking experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Setting up and stocking station according to schematics
  • Cooking meat and vegetables to company standards/recipes
  • Cooking rice and grains to company standards/recipes
  • Document temperatures on all grilled items before transferring to line
  • Utilize only the freshest ingredients
  • Report quality issues to management
  • Maintain food safety standards in accordance with company and local county standards
  • Monitoring food levels online to ensure replacements are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring that your workstation always remains clean and orderly
  • Station breakdown and cleaning on closing shifts
  • Informing the manager when equipment is due for maintenance, repair, or replacement
  • May perform other tasks as assigned by management
