Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as a cook or in a kitchen environment preferred
- Ability to stand and walk for entire shifts
- Capability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working near open flames and in varying temperatures
- Dexterity to handle kitchen tools and equipment
- Ability to maintain constant communication with team members
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to follow detailed cooking procedures and recipes
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Physical stamina to handle extended periods of standing and manual tasks
Job Duties
- Observe food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
- Follow recipes and procedures to maintain food quality and consistency
- Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures and all CAVA standards
- Restock cook stations and keep them clean and organized
- Stand and/or walk for an entire shift
- Deliver exceptional meals to guests efficiently
- Put deliveries away and perform additional assigned duties
- Cross train across the restaurant to ensure rapid growth
- Stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
- Assist with any additional duties assigned
