The Grill Cook role at Sodexo in Aiken, USA, offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and customer service within a dynamic and supportive environment. This full-time position features varying shifts with open availability preferred, paying between $16.00 and $18.50 per hour. As a Grill Cook, you will be a vital member of the kitchen team, responsible for preparing, portioning, grilling, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items for multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events.

Your role will extend beyond basic cooking tasks to include accurate measurement and mixing of ingredients according to recipes, operating kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers, and potentially engaging directly with customers at an a la carte station. Punctuality and reliability are essential, as is a commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment. You will be expected to collaborate effectively with your team, contribute to reducing food waste, and uphold Sodexo's high standards of quality and service.

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
  • prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
  • attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the grill station and surrounding areas
  • collaborate with team members to ensure food safety and quality standards are met
  • other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
