The Grill Cook position at Piedmont Macon Medical Center is a full-time role paying $16.00 per hour. This role offers varying shifts and days, with open availability preferred. As a Grill Cook, you are essential in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to customers in a medical setting. Your role is centered on teamwork, efficiency, and food safety as you prepare, portion, grill, and present a broad variety of hot and cold food items across multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and catered events. You will operate kitchen equipment such as grills and fryers, follow recipes meticulously to ensure consistency, and maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude. Reliability and punctuality are crucial as you are expected to attend your scheduled shifts regularly. This role is not only about cooking but about contributing to a healthy and safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues. Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, grill, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and measure/mix ingredients according to recipe(s)
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station, fryer, and other kitchen equipment
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Adhere to health and safety standards in food preparation and kitchen operation
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned based on business necessities and client requirements
