As a grill cook at Mo' Bettahs, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen team by preparing and cooking a variety of meats, including steaks and chicken, which are the highlights of the menu. Your responsibilities will include ensuring that all grilled items are prepared fresh, cooked to the proper temperature, and served promptly to maintain the quality and taste that customers expect. Maintaining an organized grill station is a key part of this role, which includes proper storage, labeling, and handling of food items in compliance with food safety regulations. You will also monitor inventory levels of meats and other supplies, informing management when stocks are running low to ensure seamless kitchen operations.

The grill cook position requires attention to detail and adherence to sanitation guidelines, particularly when handling raw meats and other ingredients, to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of patrons. In addition to grilling duties, you may be asked to assist with general kitchen maintenance and cleaning tasks to keep the workspace up to the restaurant's high standards of hygiene. This role demands someone who is capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining focus on safety and quality.

Work conditions for this role include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 pounds, and occasionally working outdoors or in varying temperatures. The position is physically demanding and requires the ability to ascend and descend stairs, bend, stoop, and kneel as part of daily tasks. The grill cook must also be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and audibly, and must be alert and free from impairments during working hours.
