Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in food service preferred
- ability to stand for long periods
- adherence to sanitation and safety regulations
- capacity to follow detailed instructions
- physical ability to perform cleaning and food preparation tasks
Job Duties
- Under direct supervision, performs routine food preparation utilizing grill/BBQ and fryer equipment per department procedure
- May use preparation equipment as necessary
- Responsible for maintaining sanitation of food service work areas and/or food service stations
- Upholds Kaiser Permanentes Policies and Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and applicable state, federal and local laws
- Observes appropriate food handling techniques according to standards of hygiene in accordance with local, state, and federal agencies
- Maintain grill, filters, and oils, which includes cleaning interior and exterior of grill reservoir
- Prepares food to order on/in the grill, BBQ and/or fryer following department safety and sanitation and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Policies (HACCP)
- Cleans and decontaminates patient care and work area stations, sanitizes cooking utensils, and disposal
- May perform other duties as required
- Establishes and maintains courteous and cooperative relations with members, staff and co-workers
