This job opportunity is for the position of Security Officer, a critical role in maintaining safety, security, and order at various client sites such as museums, hospitals, retail centers, and other high-traffic public venues. As a Security Officer at Titan Security, you will be placed in a high-visibility and physically demanding customer-facing role where excellent interpersonal skills are essential. The role requires officers to be vigilant, approachable, and capable of enforcing policies effectively while delivering exceptional customer service to guests, staff, and vendors. Security Officers are responsible for monitoring security cameras, conducting patrols to prevent theft, controlling access, and responding promptly to emergencies or incidents, ensuring the safety of people and property.
Employees in this role will maintain detailed administrative logs, including tracking packages and maintaining communication with both building management and Titan Security. The role requires adaptability to rotate between assigned posts and flexibility in work schedules, including shifts that may cover evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays. Candidates should be physically able to perform essential functions such as foot patrols, lifting heavy objects exceeding 50 pounds, walking stairs, and working under various weather conditions.

Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to work all shifts
- 7-8 years of security, customer service, or public-facing experience preferred
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Able to acquire and maintain a valid Illinois Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC), including state accredited training requirements
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Willingness to work all posts and flexible schedules
- Experience in museums, hospitals, retail centers, or high-traffic public venues
- Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Be attentive, approachable, and capable of enforcing policies while delivering excellent customer service
- Maintain clear, accurate administrative logs at the front desk pertaining to people or property including packages
- Control access for tenants, visitors or vendors as required
- Enforce museum rules and policies in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner
- Monitor security guard cameras and conduct patrols to guard against theft and maintain a safe environment
- Respond to incidents, including emergencies at the property, and record data on incidents for building and Titan Security management
- Provide a visible security presence throughout the museum
- Rotate between assigned posts as needed
