Eureka! is currently seeking a Hospitality Guide to join their team. This role is pivotal as the first point of contact for all guests, representing the spirit and brand of Eureka! The Hospitality Guide greets guests with warmth and personal style, efficiently seating them while maintaining a professional and inviting environment. This non-exempt position reports directly to the General Manager, collaborating with other management personnel to ensure smooth restaurant operations and an outstanding guest experience. Responsibilities include managing incoming telephone calls courteously, guiding guests through the dining service model, and ensuring cleanliness and organization of the entrance and greeting area. The Hospitality Guide also assists with various operational tasks such as sanitizing tables, managing waitlists, delivering food and beverages, and maintaining the greeter workstation.

Job Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Food Handler Safety Card
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods
  • Capability to lift products and supplies weighing up to 25 pounds
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to operate POS and waitlist technology
  • Compliance with dress code and company policies
  • Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or approved accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge of menu and bar items

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests with personal style and warmth
  • Seat guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Handle all incoming telephone calls courteously and helpfully
  • Maintain a clean entrance and Hospitality Guide area
  • Respond accurately and enthusiastically to guest questions
  • Calculate and quote wait times via the Waitlist app
  • Sanitize tables and chairs/booths prior to seating
  • Assist Service Champions by bussing tables
  • Deliver food and beverages as needed
  • Maintain orderliness of the greeter desk and surrounding area
  • Efficiently operate the POS system
  • Execute proper food and drink placement at tables
  • Polish and roll silverware
  • Thank all departing guests and invite them to return
  • Periodically maintain cleanliness of restrooms
