Known for its commitment to superior products and exceptional customer service, Dave Gill Chevrolet has built a strong reputation as a trusted provider of automotive sales and service. The dealership prides itself on its highly professional family of automotive experts who consistently strive to exceed customer expectations. Recognized as a Top Workplace in Columbus by Columbus CEO Magazine for 2025 and 2026, the company is proud of its inclusive, drug-free work environment and equal opportunity employment practices which ensure a diverse and dynamic team that values respect and integrity.

The Service Department Greeter/Porter plays a vital role within the dealership’s service department by providing an inviting, customer-focused experience from the moment clients arrive. As the first point of contact in the service area, this position ensures customers are greeted promptly and professionally, reflecting the company’s dedication to superior service. The role requires assisting customers efficiently and courteously while managing several logistical and maintenance tasks that keep the service area running smoothly and safely. Responsibilities include driving vehicles throughout the service lot and between service spaces, managing vehicle cleanliness, installing protective coverings, and performing basic maintenance such as refueling and topping off fluids. Additionally, greeters and porters help maintain the overall appearance and safety of the dealership by handling duties such as snow and debris removal and lot cleaning.

A key aspect of the role involves transporting customers to and from their homes as needed, emphasizing the dealership’s commitment to customer convenience and satisfaction. This position demands a high level of communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment while maintaining a positive attitude. Candidates should have experience operating both manual and automatic transmission vehicles with expertise in maneuvering safely in tight and confined spaces. Previous experience in a similar automotive or service environment is preferred but not mandatory.

This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who enjoy dynamic roles that combine customer service with hands-on vehicle and facility maintenance. The ideal candidate will be energetic, approachable, and highly dependable, possessing excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor at all times. Dave Gill Chevrolet offers a supportive work environment that encourages professional growth and provides comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid holidays, life insurance, paid leave, a 401(k) plan, and employee discounts. This full-time position is ideal for someone eager to build a rewarding career in the automotive service industry within a company that values its employees and fosters a culture of excellence and community engagement.
