Job Description

Hyatt is a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its dedication to exceptional guest experiences and attentive service. With a strong presence across numerous countries, Hyatt is committed to creating environments where both guests and associates feel valued and supported. The company's core belief is that guests choose Hyatt because of the genuine care and attentiveness exhibited by its associates, who strive to provide efficient service coupled with meaningful and memorable experiences. This focus on heartfelt hospitality has positioned Hyatt as a preferred destination for travelers seeking quality and comfort.

The Café at Hyatt is the signature all-day dining outlet located within the Mission Pacific Beach Resort, a distinguished Hyatt property situated on the beautiful Oceanside waterfront. Reflecting the vibrant coastal atmosphere, the Café blends the casual charm of a neighborhood eatery with an elevated hospitality experience. The restaurant operates from sunrise to sunset, offering serious food, craft coffee, and a comprehensive full bar program designed to satisfy a wide array of guest preferences. The team at the Café is known for its fast-paced service, deep commitment to quality, and pride in every dish and beverage presented to guests.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and warm Greeters, also known as Hosts or Hostesses, to join our team. This role is vital as it is the first point of contact for guests, establishing a welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for their entire dining experience. Greeters engage with guests by providing table accommodations, communicating wait times, and offering helpful menu recommendations, thereby enhancing guest satisfaction and fostering repeat visits. Beyond direct guest interaction, Greeters may also assist with additional tasks such as rolling silverware and general cleaning as needed, ensuring the front-of-house operates smoothly and efficiently.

This is a part-time, seasonal position with an expected duration until around Labor Day 2026. The hourly wage for this role is $19.50, reflecting the importance Hyatt places on attracting dedicated team members who thrive in a high-energy and guest-focused environment. Working at the Café offers the opportunity to be part of a respected team committed to hospitality excellence in one of Oceanside’s most visible and celebrated properties. Associates enjoy a workplace culture that values mutual respect, continuous development, and a commitment to Hyatt’s core values, including integrity, respect, and teamwork.

The Café at Hyatt also provides a range of attractive benefits to enhance the associate experience. Team members have access to unlimited colleague and friends and family discounted room rates at Hyatt hotels worldwide, complimentary employee meals, and the opportunity to participate in the front-of-house tip pool through Evention. The environment encourages collaboration and care for one another, creating a supportive atmosphere where every team member feels appreciated. This role is perfect for individuals who are punctual, reliable, adaptable, and enjoy delivering top-notch service while working outdoors in a scenic coastal setting. Join us at the Café at Hyatt and be a part of a team that blends tradition, innovation, and passion for hospitality to deliver unforgettable guest moments.
