The Host/Greeter at Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta plays a pivotal role in shaping the guest experience at the Spaceman Lounge. As the initial point of contact for guests, hosts and greeters are responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment, ensuring that every visitor feels valued from the moment they arrive. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in customer-facing roles preferred
- familiarity with reservation management software
- strong interpersonal and communication skills
- physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- commitment to providing excellent customer service
Job Qualifications
- A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
- previous experience as restaurant host or greeter preferred
- experience with reservation systems such as SevenRooms, OpenTable, or Resy
- refined verbal communication skills
- ability to stand for long periods
- ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum amount of weight (about 10 pounds)
- must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests with a friendly and professional demeanor
- manage and oversee the venue's reservation systems including taking, modifying, and cancelling reservations
- provide guests with table accommodations and menu recommendations
- ensure overall guest satisfaction by addressing and resolving concerns and complaints promptly
- maintain the ambiance, including music and lighting, to enhance the dining environment
- assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting guest issues
- serve as the final point of contact to ensure a positive guest experience
