Job Description

Briza Restaurant Group is a distinguished name in the dining industry, recognized for its commitment to creating exceptional dining experiences. Operating a collection of mid-fine dining establishments, Briza Restaurant Group places a strong emphasis on warm hospitality, elevated cuisine, and meticulous attention to detail. Their philosophy centers around the belief that dining is not merely about food, but about crafting memorable moments that guests cherish. With a reputation for excellence, the company fosters a culture where both guests and employees feel valued and respected. They are continuously striving to push the boundaries of service and culinary artistry to maintain their prestigious standing in the competitive restaurant scene.

This particular opportunity is for the position of Greeter based in Memphis, TN. The Greeter will play a pivotal role in setting the first impression for guests arriving at any of Briza's restaurants. This role entails being the warm and polished face of the restaurant, welcoming guests with genuine enthusiasm and professionalism. The person in this role will manage the flow of guests efficiently, balancing the requirements of reservation management and walk-in patrons, all while offering courteous communication regarding wait times and seating arrangements. There is a focus on aiding guests to feel noticed and appreciated, ensuring their initial experience resonates with the group's reputation for exceptional service.

The Greeter is also responsible for maintaining a neat and inviting host stand and entrance area to uphold the restaurant's aesthetic standards. The position requires multitasking abilities, as candidates will also assist with coat checks, special accommodations, and provide guests with an overview of the dining experience. This role occasionally involves supporting the front-of-house team with light administrative or service tasks during slower periods, providing a dynamic work environment suited for individuals who thrive in social and fast-paced settings.

Applicants are expected to have at least one year of experience in a guest-facing role, ideally within the fine or mid-fine dining sector. The role demands a person who naturally exudes friendliness and professionalism, backed by excellent communication skills and the ability to stay composed under pressure. Familiarity with reservation systems such as OpenTable or Resy is favorable but not mandatory. A polished appearance and strict adherence to hospitality standards reflect the standards that Briza Restaurant Group upholds. Candidates must be flexible with their availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and commit to a minimum of four shifts. The compensation includes a competitive hourly wage, along with growth opportunities and a positive, team-oriented environment. Employee perks like dining discounts are also part of the benefits package, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction.
