This role is based at the Washington Square location in Tigard, Oregon, and offers a competitive pay rate starting at $16.30 per hour, complemented by estimated tips ranging from $12.50 to $14.25 per hour. The employment is designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused team environment and are passionate about providing superior hospitality. As a Greeter / Host / Hostess, you will be the very first friendly face that guests encounter upon arrival, playing a pivotal role in setting the tone for the entire dining experience. Your responsibilities include warmly welcoming guests, managing the check-in process using the Din Tai Fung text message waiting system, and escorting guests to their assigned tables with grace and efficiency.
Your role extends beyond greeting guests; you will help orchestrate the flow of the dining room by seating guests in a timely and organized manner, supporting smooth table turnover, and actively working to reduce wait times. The focus on hospitality and organizational skills is paramount, as you ensure every guest feels welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
