Job Description

Greco is a reputable company operating within the logistics and delivery industry, primarily focused on providing efficient and reliable transportation services. With a commitment to maintaining timely delivery schedules and ensuring customer satisfaction, Greco specializes in daily delivery routes, handling various types of packages and products, including food and beverage items. Known for their structured operations and attention to safety, Greco employs professional drivers who operate under strict regulatory compliance, including Department of Transportation (DOT) standards. The company values a strong work ethic, responsible handling of goods, and professional interaction with clients, ensuring both product integrity and excellent service throughout the delivery process. Greco's cross-dock distribution model underscores its operational efficiency, whereby drivers pick up loaded trucks from designated docks and deliver them along prescribed routes, returning emptied vehicles to assigned lots, thereby streamlining logistics flow.

The role of CDL A Delivery Truck Driver at Greco is a critical position that demands expertise in driving, customer relations, and product handling. This full-time employment opportunity requires candidates to run daily routes that include frequent stops, with responsibilities extending beyond driving to the loading and unloading of packages using hand trucks and manual handling. Drivers are expected to operate within the designated routes set by the Transportation Department Manager and successfully facilitate a cross-dock model of operation. This involves picking up nightly loaded trucks from defined loading docks and managing returns of empty trucks back to assigned lots at the end of routes. The job includes physical aspects such as lifting and moving products weighing between 1 and 100 pounds, working in various weather conditions, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to comply with DOT regulations and company policies. Drivers must handle equipment properly, maintain high safety standards, and effectively communicate with customers, including verifying deliveries, obtaining signatures, and resolving complaints with professionalism. The role also occasionally requires assisting with loading trucks, palletizing products, and performing other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel. Candidates must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with a clean driving record and the ability to communicate in English sufficiently to read traffic signs, converse with the public, and complete required documentation. Flexibility regarding overtime, weekends, and holidays is essential to meet business needs. Preferences are given to candidates with prior customer delivery experience, hand truck operation, food and beverage industry exposure, and a consistent work history. This position provides a dynamic work environment where safety, reliability, and customer satisfaction are paramount, offering a rewarding career path for professional drivers dedicated to operational excellence.
