The role of Housekeeper at McMenamins is an essential position within the hotel operations team. This is an hourly non-exempt position that typically requires availability on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, with approximately 15-25 hours of work weekly. Housekeepers report directly to the Manager and play a critical role in ensuring that every guest enjoys a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment during their stay. Housekeepers are primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of hotel rooms and other guest areas. Duties involve daily preparation of guest rooms, changing bed linens, cleaning bathrooms, upkeep of linen closets, and floor care. Beyond room cleaning, housekeepers may assist maintenance staff with janitorial duties, provide support to the front desk, help guests with requests such as retrieving ironing boards or cribs, and answer guest inquiries. This versatility makes the housekeeper role pivotal in enhancing guest satisfaction and supporting smooth hotel operations. Job Requirements

  • Previous hotel related housekeeping is preferred but not required
  • Ability to meet the attendance requirements of the job including having a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and holidays required
  • Ability to work for long periods on feet, including walking, standing and stair climbing
  • Ability to safely lift and carry heavy objects
  • Ability to perform repetitive movements such as bending, twisting, and stooping
  • Ability to work with cleaning chemicals safely
  • Positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service
  • Ability to work independently and follow deadlines
