Job Description

The position being described is that of a Team Member responsible for providing a range of service duties within the dining area, supporting the front-of-house operations, and assisting both guests and staff to maintain a seamless service experience. Job Requirements

  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • Ability to communicate in English both written and oral
  • Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Ability to push/pull and carry 50 lbs or less frequently
  • Basic math, reading, and writing skills required
  • Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently
  • Must be able to work in a team environment

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of and ability to identify menu products
  • Ability to operate a glassware washing machine
  • Ability to refill ice bins and beer bins, utilizing ice machines
  • Knowledge of the dish room including separating silverware, dishes and glassware appropriately
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both written and oral
  • Basic reading, math, writing and task completion skills
  • Skills in compiling, coordination, following instructions, influencing others, memorization, problem solving, independent judgment, and decision making
  • Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • Minimum age of 16 years

Job Duties

  • Promptly welcome all guests and ensure they receive responsive, professional, and gracious service always
  • Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency to maintain a productive working relationship with all guests and deliver necessary items
  • Effectively communicate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and other team members
  • Clear tables after guests leave, promptly clean tabletops/seating area, thoroughly clean the booths and chairs, and take tableware to the dish room
  • Assist servers in pre-bus and busing tables
  • Pre-bussing includes clearing, wiping tabletops, chairs & booths, and setting tables
  • Help set up to-go/pick up area and help deliver to-go orders to host desk to be picked up by guests
  • Refill beverages as necessary
  • Set and reset tables and side stations before, during and after service periods
  • Deliver food orders to tables
  • Ensure all machines are cleaned properly
  • Fold/roll napkins when needed and keep silverware polished
  • Reset tables in a timely and efficient manner
  • Participate in Pre-Shift meetings and learn new menu items
  • Assist the kitchen in expediting the service process to maintain the flow of service
  • Maintain general cleanliness in dining room during service periods
  • Responsible for taking, compiling and delivering and putting away warehouse orders
  • Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position
