The Graduate Assistant for Game Operations is a pivotal role within the Department of Athletics. This approximately 20-hours-per-week assistantship runs for a 10-month period from July 1st through April 30th. Graduate assistants must be enrolled full-time in one of Warner University’s graduate programs to qualify. Responsibilities include planning and leading all aspects of athletic game operations such as facility preparation and event execution, which requires strong organizational and leadership skills. The graduate assistant will recruit, organize, and supervise a diverse team of game-day staff and volunteers, including ticketing personnel and concession workers, ensuring that each event runs effectively. They will also coordinate marketing materials and promotional content to boost attendance and foster school spirit.

The role demands strong communication, attention to detail, and flexibility, as the assistant will manage ticketing operations including attendance tracking and report generation. Additionally, the Graduate Assistant will support major events such as tournaments, Senior Day recognitions, Homecoming events, and various themed games like Military Appreciation Night and Cancer Awareness Games. The position often involves working nights, weekends, and extended hours, especially during peak athletic seasons and significant university events.

The Graduate Assistant for Game Operations serves directly under the Athletics Manager for Game Operations & Ticketing or a designated supervisor.
