Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, renowned for its commitment to exceptional guest experiences, innovative service, and fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace. With a portfolio that spans luxury to select-service hotels worldwide, Marriott remains a top choice for travelers and associates alike. The company prioritizes associate satisfaction, believing that happy employees lead to happy guests. Marriott actively cultivates an environment where unique backgrounds and talents are celebrated, ensuring equal opportunity employment without discrimination based on any protected status. Operating with the legacy and values bestowed by its founder J. Willard Marriott, the brand continues to uphold the highest standards of hospitality globally.
JW Marriott, part of Marriott International's luxury portfolio, comprises more than 100 distinguished properties in gateway cities and premier resort destinations around the world. JW Marriott associates enjoy a unique work experience characterized by camaraderie, professional growth opportunities, and an emphasis on holistic well-being. The brand fosters a culture where associates can pursue their passions in a luxury setting, supported by robust training, development, and recognition programs. JW Marriott believes in the importance of taking care of its associates first as this commitment translates into exceptional guest services — a philosophy known as The JW Treatment™.
This full-time, non-management position based in Orlando, Florida, at the JW Marriott property located at 4040 Central Florida Pkwy, offers an opportunity to join a globally recognized hospitality leader dedicated to delivering Wonderful Hospitality. Always. The role focuses on essential operational duties within the food and beverage segment, particularly coffee and beverage service, ensuring a smooth and efficient guest experience from start to finish.
The position involves performing comprehensive opening and closing tasks including preparation and cleanup of work areas, managing supplies and equipment, and securing the premises at shift end. Core responsibilities include order taking and processing through the MICROS cash register system, preparing food and coffee beverages, maintaining cleanliness across various operational stations, and handling payments and cash management with accuracy and attention to detail. The role emphasizes adherence to company policies, safety and security procedures, and maintaining a clean, professional appearance aligned with brand standards.
Associates in this role serve as the vital first point of contact for guests in the coffee cart and beverage service area. They are expected to greet guests warmly, anticipate and meet service needs efficiently, assist guests with disabilities, and foster positive guest interactions. Collaboration with team members and support in achieving shared goals is essential, as is a commitment to quality and service excellence. The physical demands of the position include standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods, lifting and moving objects up to 25 pounds, and performing fine motor tasks necessary for food and beverage preparation.
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with no prior experience or supervisory background required. This role is well-suited for individuals seeking to start a career in hospitality within a renowned luxury hotel brand that values growth, development, and inclusivity. Marriott International’s comprehensive approach to employee engagement and career progression provides a supportive platform for associates to thrive and become the best version of themselves.
