This particular role is a Full-Time, Non-Management Food and Beverage position focused on providing exceptional service within the restaurant and coffee services at JW Marriott Chicago. The position is seasonal and favors availability during the evening shift, offering a competitive hourly pay ranging from $25.79 to $26.54. This role is not remote, requiring a presence at the hotel location.
As a Food and Beverage team member, your duties will encompass opening and closing responsibilities, which include preparing necessary supplies, cleaning various equipment and areas, and securing the premises appropriately. You will be expected to set up, stock, and maintain work areas, ensuring they meet the highest cleanliness and organizational standards. The job also involves operating the MICROS point-of-sale system for taking customer orders and handling payment transactions with accuracy and professionalism.
The role demands meticulous attention to detail in preparing food and coffee beverages and managing coffee maker appliances—ensuring they operate at the correct times throughout the day. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness by bussing coffee cart areas and tables, washing dishes and utensils, and performing ongoing cleaning of work areas and equipment.
Another critical area of responsibility includes handling cash management tasks such as obtaining change, counting bank funds at shift end, preparing cashier reports, resolving discrepancies, and securing the cash bank safely. Safety and security procedures are paramount; you will be required to adhere strictly to company policies, report unsafe conditions, and complete all necessary safety trainings.
Customer service is a cornerstone of this role. Team members are expected to welcome all guests warmly, anticipate their needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and ensure every guest interaction is marked by genuine appreciation. Job Duties
- Complete opening and closing duties including setting up supplies and tools
