This full-time, non-management Food and Beverage position based in Los Angeles involves important operational responsibilities including opening and closing duties, such as preparing supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing the premises. The role requires taking orders, entering them into the MICROS cash register system, and preparing food and coffee beverages with precision and care. Employees must ensure that all appliances are operated at appropriate times and maintain cleanliness in coffee cart areas and public spaces throughout their shift. Cash handling tasks include managing transactions, counting change, completing cashier reports, and securing the bank at the end of shifts. The role demands adherence to stringent company safety and security policies, active reporting of accidents or unsafe conditions, and completion of all required training and certifications. Associates in this role serve as the face of JW Marriott, greeting guests warmly, anticipating their needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and striving to exceed service expectations at all times. The physical duties include standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing repetitive movements, making physical stamina and coordination essential. The salary starts at $26.16 per hour, with pay increases to $29.43 after nine months and $32.70 after eighteen months, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding dedication and performance. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors
  • set up, stock, and maintain work areas
  • input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer
  • take orders, record in MICROS system and prepare food and coffee beverages
  • ensure that appliances such as coffee makers are turned on/off at appropriate times
  • bus coffee cart areas and tables
  • clean dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day
  • obtain change required for expected business level
  • count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank
