Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2 or more years of kitchen management experience
- strong financial acumen
- food manager certification
- TABC certification
- allergen certification
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office
- ability to lead a team
- knowledge of food safety standards
- ability to work under pressure
- strong organizational skills
Job Qualifications
- 2 or more years of previous kitchen management experience
- strong financial acumen and P&L accountability experience
- excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- excellent computer skills and Microsoft Office experience
- food manager, TABC, and allergen certification
- Spanish speaking a plus but not required
Job Duties
- Provide excellent quality and presentation of all food to all guests
- Complete hands-on training and knowledge of each position within the kitchen
- Manage day-to-day operations of the kitchen and food production
- Ensure BOH setup and breakdown is accurate for every shift
- Maintain thorough knowledge of recipes and food preparation standards
- Monitor wait times in the serving line
- Train and cross-train employees in food preparation and company standards
- Schedule, receive, and verify food and beverage deliveries
- Ensure product safety through training on food preparation, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations
- Inspect supplies, equipment, work areas, and property to ensure standards
- Manage safety and security practices for employee and patron safety
- Collaborate with other managers to meet financial and operational targets
- Handle personnel actions including hiring, training, disciplining, and terminating
- Teach and train staff on company's core values and culture
- Manage staff schedules according to company policy
- Monitor employee appearance and uniform standards
- Communicate effectively with managers and staff
- Build employee morale through leadership and teamwork
- Conduct shift meetings
- Display ownership and make decisions responsibly
- Handle assignments and solve problems resourcefully
- Manage food quality standards including temperature and plating
- Ensure food safety and allergy awareness
- Oversee cleanliness and cleaning programs
- Conduct weekly inventory and meet food cost goals
- Oversee ordering of kitchen production items
- Organize and follow up on training programs
- Conduct accurate line checks and correct issues
- Handle harassment complaints timely
- Participate in training and implementation of new initiatives and menu roll-outs
