The role available at Flying Horse Resort and Club involves upholding the highest standards of member and guest services within the golf operations department. This position is crucial to ensuring that every visitor experiences outstanding service, from greeting and acknowledging guests to maintaining the operational excellence of the golf facilities. Responsibilities include daily play and tournament preparation and setup, ensuring all operational areas such as the Podium, Range, Cart Barn, and Ball Wash Room are maintained to company standards. The role requires managing tee sheets accurately, assisting members and guests at the range, and maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in all assigned areas. The candidate must have a fundamental understanding of golf activities and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with members and guests. Communication with other golf operations staff and adherence to the company handbook and standards are essential components of the job. This position demands physical stamina, effective multitasking abilities, and a strong commitment to customer service. Working varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required. Job Qualifications
- Must have minimal golf knowledge
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds, 30% of the time
- Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work varied hours/days including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must have reliable transportation
- Access to staff required uniform
Job Duties
- Ensure that each member and guest receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment including greeting and acknowledging every customer, maintaining solid facility knowledge, building rapport with members
- Assist with daily and tournament preparation and setup
- Maintain all areas of operation including podium, range, cart barn, ball wash room
- Manage the tee sheet, greet member/guest groups at range, maintain a stocked and clean hitting range, notify staff if a pick is needed
- Ensure all golf carts are stocked and clean, member clubs are cleaned and put away, correct clubs are pulled for members
- Follow handbook and standards for outside operations
- Maintain effective communication with all areas of golf operations
- Perform any other tasks assigned by manager
