Job Requirements
- Three years of experience in golf course management, operations, maintenance, or clubhouse
- One year of supervisory experience
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate county-owned vehicle
- Driving record free of misdemeanors or felonies related to vehicular offenses within last five years
- No more than two at-fault or chargeable accidents within last five years
- No more than two traffic infractions within last year
- Must pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
- Must work some evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift twenty pounds
- Must acquire and maintain food handler’s and cereal malt beverage licenses
Job Qualifications
- Three years of experience in golf course management, operations, maintenance, or clubhouse
- One year of supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of golf fundamentals, rules, and industry trends
- Proficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in customer service and staff leadership
- Ability to maintain professional public image
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Preferred but not required - Class A PGA or LPGA membership
Job Duties
- Manage golf course and clubhouse operations including reservation system and monitoring play
- Oversee the reservation system, starting times, and monitor play flow
- Maintain clubhouse appearance and cleanliness
- Provide guidance and assistance on golf rules, leagues, and tournaments
- Prepare and maintain food and beverage inventory levels
- Supervise golf course staff including hiring, training, scheduling, and discipline
- Handle customer service duties including responding to comments, vendor contacts, and public relations activities
- Collaborate on budgeting and financial oversight with Golf Operations General Manager
- Prepare reports on operational performance and budget status
