The Broadmoor prides itself on a culture that celebrates family, community, and world-class hospitality, making it a sought-after employer for individuals passionate about the hospitality industry.
The role of Host/Hostess at The Broadmoor is critical in delivering a memorable guest experience consistent with the resort's standards of excellence. As an integral member of the Food and Beverage team, the Host/Hostess serves as the first point of contact for guests arriving at the resort's dining venues. This role involves welcoming and seating guests, managing dining reservations through the computer reservation system, and coordinating special events or party arrangements. The position demands a warm, enthusiastic, and friendly demeanor, ensuring all guests feel valued and attended to from the moment they enter the restaurant.
This position offers a pay range of $16.00 to $23.00 per hour, which includes an hourly base wage plus a commission-based service charge that varies depending on the season and event volume, usually adding $2.00 to $9.00 per hour. The hourly wage always complies with or exceeds the current Colorado minimum wage of $15.16. The Host/Hostess role at The Broadmoor is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to be part of a distinguished team where professional development is encouraged, and employees are recognized for their dedication to service excellence.
Responsibilities include using the reservation system efficiently, answering phones in a manner that reflects The Broadmoor’s high standards, and assisting guests with their requests. Additionally, the Host/Hostess helps in managing dining room traffic, ensures workstations are stocked and organized, and supports the training of new staff members. Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to health, safety, and uniform standards are essential to succeed in this position.
Working at The Broadmoor means joining a diverse community that values growth and development. The resort provides extensive benefits, including health and dental insurance, 401(k) options, and employee discounts, among others. This environment fosters career progression opportunities, whether employees seek seasonal roles, long-term careers, or personal development within the hospitality industry. The Broadmoor encourages applications from individuals who may not meet every qualification but are eager to learn and contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences. This inclusivity and commitment to employee growth reinforce The Broadmoor’s position as a premier employer in the hospitality sector.
