The role of the General Merchandise Expert at Target is a vital position that directly affects the store’s merchandising and overall guest experience. Individuals in this role are responsible for ensuring that merchandise across all General Merchandise (GM) areas is properly set, stocked, priced, and signed. Daily responsibilities include maintaining inventory accuracy, managing product displays, operating power equipment (when certified), and supporting digital fulfillment processes like picking and packing orders.
