Employees in this role gain valuable retail business knowledge, including department sales trends, inventory management, and process efficiency improvements. This position requires flexibility in schedule with varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times. Teamwork, communication, and a solution-oriented approach are essential to succeed. The General Merchandise Expert will also support guest services by assisting with back-up cashier duties and digital fulfillment tasks such as picking and packing orders.
Target's commitment extends beyond the workplace, providing team members access to a broad range of benefits encompassing financial wellness, education, health, and well-being. This supports not just the professional growth but also the holistic wellness of employees, creating a vibrant community that thrives on collaboration, safety, and respect.
