Job Description
Fini Pizza - Amagansett is a distinguished part of the Fini Pizza family, renowned for delivering authentic, high-quality Italian dining experiences in a vibrant and welcoming environment. As a growing pizzeria business rooted in the values of LOVE, FAMILY, and GRATITUDE, Fini Pizza is committed to excellence in hospitality, maintaining a positive culture for both employees and guests alike. With a dedication to balancing art and commerce, the establishment operates with an insightful approach that ensures both customer satisfaction and a healthy, sustainable business model. Being part of Fini Pizza means joining a team that values safety, inclusivity, and accountability, making it a leading name in the restaurant industry in Amagansett.
The General Manager role at Fini Pizza - Amagansett offers a unique leadership opportunity that goes beyond standard operational tasks. This full-time salaried position, with compensation ranging between $70,000 and $75,000 annually, involves an average of 60 work hours per week. The successful candidate will be at the heart of the restaurant's daily operations, guest experiences, and team management. The General Manager will lead their team by embodying and promoting the core LFG values, ensuring every employee feels secure and motivated, cultivating a workplace culture where feedback is welcomed, and accountability is clear.
The General Manager's responsibilities are broad and dynamic, covering everything from developing opening and closing procedures for the team, maintaining aesthetic and hospitality standards, overseeing compliance with health and safety codes, to managing guest-facing platforms such as the website and delivery services. This role requires a proactive approach to quality control, including regular product tastings and staff training to maintain the high standards Fini Pizza is known for.
A key element of this role is effective scheduling and labor cost management across front-of-house (FOH), back-of-house (BOH), and events staffing, ensuring labor costs align with budget goals. The General Manager also plays an essential role in the administrative aspects of the business—including cash management, invoice processing, and supply purchasing—practices that directly influence the company's profitability and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate will be equipped with the ability to respond quickly to operational challenges such as call-outs and no-shows, utilizing excellent organizational skills to manage schedules in advance. They will also foster strong communication channels between staff and ownership, working alongside HR to administer disciplinary actions appropriately and maintain a smooth, compliant workplace.
