Job Description
Our company is a prominent player in the oil and gas sector, known for its commitment to innovation and excellence in energy solutions. As a leader in the industry, we emphasize creating impactful engagements through strategic events and content operations to strengthen our brand presence and stakeholder relationships. We are currently seeking a dynamic Events & Content Operations Lead to join our team and elevate our event management capabilities to new heights. This role is designed for a strategic leader with high energy and a visionary approach to managing both external and internal events, ensuring seamless integration between our digital and physical operational infrastructures.
The Events & Content Operations Lead will be entrusted with managing a comprehensive event ecosystem encompassing high-profile corporate events, trade shows, and specialized executive internal functions. Beyond event execution, this role champions the operational infrastructure that supports these activities, including the management of digital and physical demonstration spaces, corporate theaters, a speaker bureau, and a sophisticated publications management system. This position requires a deep operational knowledge and a forward-thinking mindset aimed at scaling the events department into a world-class operation. We offer an opportunity to lead transformational changes that enhance event efficacy through standardized playbooks, ROI frameworks, and innovative event formats, in an environment that values strategic insight and operational excellence.
In this role, you will provide direction for event strategy and execution, ensuring every event aligns with corporate objectives and maximizes impact. You will oversee the scheduling, technology integration, and daily management of demo spaces and theaters, fostering an immersive brand experience for attendees and executives alike. Your expertise will extend to managing the speaker bureau, where you're tasked with aligning executive engagements with strategic communication goals and maintaining a robust calendar to optimize visibility and influence.
You will manage relationships with external agencies, guiding them to produce cutting-edge media assets both physical and digital. Your responsibility also includes navigating the complexities of corporate procurement processes—issuing RFPs, negotiating contracts, onboarding vendors, and enforcing strict budget oversight to guarantee fiscal responsibility without compromising event quality. Workflow optimization is another critical aspect, leveraging tools like Adobe Workfront to streamline event intake, resource distribution, and team collaboration to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.
This role demands at least 5 to 7 years of experience managing corporate events within the oil and gas or energy sectors, showcasing your ability to handle multi-phase projects and lead cross-functional teams under tight deadlines. Experience in agency leadership, procurement processes, and project management tools is essential. Preferred qualifications include familiarity with Adobe Workfront, Seismic, PowerBi, and Digital Asset Management systems along with professional certifications such as CMP, CSEP, or PMP. Join us to make a significant impact in a thriving industry through innovative event leadership and content operations management.
