Job Description
Dexcom is a pioneer in the medical technology industry, widely recognized for its innovative continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems that have transformed diabetic care worldwide. As a company committed to improving lives through leading-edge technology, Dexcom fosters a culture of innovation, inclusivity, and impact. This rapidly growing commercial organization delivers life-changing products and services that empower patients and healthcare professionals alike, supporting better health outcomes and quality of life. Dexcom’s dedication to pushing boundaries has earned it a strong reputation for excellence and industry leadership across global markets.
The role of Global Events Manager at Dexcom is a dynamic and strategic position that sits within the commercial organization, responsible for the comprehensive planning, management, and execution of international and US-based conferences, tradeshows, customer events, webinars, executive programs, and internal organizational gatherings. This role is integral in promoting Dexcom’s brand and advancing key marketing initiatives through impactful event strategies that align with broader marketing objectives. The Global Events Manager will steward events from initial concept through flawless execution, ensuring that each event maximizes brand presence, drives demand, builds loyalty, and fosters strong relationships with internal teams, external vendors, and senior leadership.
In this leadership capacity, the Global Events Manager will oversee multiple complex, concurrent events and marketing programs, demonstrating exceptional project management skills, budget oversight, and stakeholder collaboration. The role requires a hands-on approach to managing logistics, sponsorships, booth development, and onsite event execution while maintaining a clear strategic vision that advances the company's market position. The position also demands adaptability to leverage innovative event technologies and marketing tools to enhance event effectiveness and deliver measurable results. Negotiating favorable contract terms and complying with regulatory and organizational policies are critical components of the day-to-day responsibilities.
Dexcom looks for a candidate with strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities, who thrives in a fast-paced environment and approaches challenges proactively. Experience in managing conventions, housing bureaus, and working with professional and medical organizations is preferred. The successful candidate will also demonstrate creativity and innovation, capable of thinking outside the box to design compelling event experiences. The role supports marketing teams in crafting event marketing plans that resonate with stakeholders and support revenue and brand goals.
This full-time position offers a competitive salary range from $100,700 to $167,900, with flexible work options, including remote and hybrid arrangements based on proximity to Dexcom sites. The role entails travel commitments estimated between 25 to 50 percent, enabling the manager to oversee various event locations nationally and internationally. Moreover, Dexcom supports its employees with comprehensive benefits, career development opportunities, and an inclusive work culture dedicated to making a meaningful difference in healthcare. The Global Events Manager will be a key contributor to the ongoing success of Dexcom’s commercial efforts and its mission to improve lives through transformative technology.
