Job Description
EF Education First (EF) is a global leader in international education, specializing in language training, educational travel, academic degree programs, and cultural exchange. Founded with a mission to open the world through education, EF Educational Tours focuses on delivering immersive international travel programs that go beyond traditional classroom learning. Their tours are specifically designed to foster essential skills such as curiosity, communication, and global awareness, which prepare students for future success by giving them firsthand experience of diverse cultures and historical contexts. EF prides itself on being a purpose-driven and innovative organization that offers an energetic and supportive work environment, committed to continuous learning and mutual support among employees.
The Cooperative Education (co-op) program at EF Educational Tours presents an exceptional opportunity for college or university students to gain practical, hands-on experience that aligns with their academic and career goals. This hybrid program operates out of an office Monday through Thursday with the option to work from home on Fridays, offering a wage of $20 per hour for a 40-hour workweek, starting August 4, 2026. Participants in the co-op will immerse themselves in the dynamic world of experiential events, working with the team responsible for planning and executing unforgettable internal and customer-facing events across EF’s Educational Tours and other EF Tours products.
As a Global Events Co-Op participant, students will gain firsthand exposure to the complexities and rewards of live event management, contributing to the creation of high-impact events such as Global Leadership Summits, Tour Director Summits, Thematic Tour Events, and various EF staff kickoffs. The role focuses heavily on delivering a flawless attendee experience, managing the attendee journey from initial registration through post-event follow-ups. The role demands flexibility, adaptability, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving challenges in a fast-paced environment.
Co-op students will be involved in managing registrations, maintaining attendee details, coordinating accommodation and transportation logistics, and ensuring timely communication with participants. They will also support event branding efforts by assisting with signage, swag, and visual elements that reinforce EF's brand identity. This role offers an invaluable opportunity to develop event coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills while collaborating across multiple departments and geographical regions.
Participants will also gain unique international travel experience by supporting a key event from October 16-23, 2026, enhancing their global perspective and professional development. EF Educational Tours is particularly interested in candidates with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, proficiency in MS Office, and a genuine enthusiasm for creating meaningful experiences. While prior experience in events or hospitality is preferred, it is not mandatory, making this an ideal opportunity for motivated students looking to enter the field of event planning and experiential marketing.
Working at EF means joining a vibrant, international team where innovation and continuous learning are part of the core company ethos. Employees consistently highlight the welcoming and supportive community as a key reason they enjoy working at EF, making this co-op program not only a career stepping stone but also a gateway into a passionate and purpose-driven workplace.
