The Protective Services Global Event Specialist role focuses on developing and managing comprehensive customized security plans for events worldwide, including protection of VIPs at specialized, sensitive, and high-profile events. The position demands extensive domestic and international travel and requires working in collaboration with proprietary and contract security personnel, law enforcement operations, and medical personnel. Core responsibilities include conducting pre-event site assessments, preparing and managing security operating budgets, and providing security briefings to all levels of stakeholders, including senior leadership.

This role supports multiple departments such as event, marketing, and public relations while maintaining high security standards. It represents the security team during planning meetings with senior internal partners and assists in creating and implementing structured development plans through education and mentoring. Additionally, the role involves partnership with business units to establish strategic security roadmaps, develop KPIs, and contribute to drafting detailed reports, location assessments, and analytical white papers.

Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security, law enforcement, business management, accounting or related fields
  • 5+ years of incident management, threat management, corporate investigations, law enforcement, security operations, crisis management or related field experience
  • experience building and maintaining business relationships with teams, vendors, and external security partners
  • experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • ability to work a non-traditional schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership
  • experience with domestic or international travel coordination or experience with end-to-end project management
  • experience in a 24x7 operational services or support environment

Job Qualifications

  • bachelor's degree in criminal justice, security, law enforcement, business management, accounting or related fields
  • 5+ years of incident management, threat management, corporate investigations, law enforcement, security operations, crisis management or related field experience
  • experience building and maintaining business relationships with teams, vendors, and external security partners
  • experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams

  • experience in the security field in a global corporate environment or large-sized organization
  • 5+ years of project management including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk and critical path management experience
  • experience leading prioritization of tasks, team scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • ability to complete complex tasks quickly with little to no guidance and react with appropriate urgency to situations requiring quick turnaround
  • experience handling confidential information and professionalism when dealing with senior executives
  • experience providing protection for VIPs, dignitaries and executives
