Operating with a commitment to creativity, innovative storytelling, and cultural engagement, A24 is seeking a highly strategic and execution-focused Global Director of Events to join its team based in Los Angeles. Reporting to the Head of Specialty Marketing, this role occupies a pivotal position within the company’s experiential marketing efforts, driving the ideation, production, and execution of high-impact events across various facets of the A24 ecosystem. From film premieres and awards season campaigns to talent dinners, film festivals, brand activations, and company initiatives, the Global Director of Events will craft and implement event strategies that resonate with the company’s signature voice, creativity, and rigorous attention to detail.
This role demands a dynamic leader who excels at managing complex logistics, including budgeting, vendor relations, venue coordination, ticketing, staffing, travel arrangements, creative development, permit procurement, and on-site event execution. The Global Director of Events will also serve as a lead producer for large-scale events, collaborating closely with internal departments such as Marketing, Publicity, Brand, Distribution, International, and Business Affairs to guarantee alignment and flawless execution. As a brand steward, this individual will ensure all events authentically reflect A24’s creative vision and industry standards, building and nurturing relationships with external partners, sponsors, production teams, and talent representatives.
Managing and mentoring both in-house events staff and freelance teams during peak periods will be a critical component of the role, as will overseeing budgets, timelines, event recaps, and driving continuous process improvements through effective cross-functional coordination. The Global Director of Events will also partner with internal stakeholders to orchestrate annual corporate events and celebrations, identify and secure brand partnerships and sponsorships, and contribute expertise to festival planning and talent engagement at prestigious gatherings such as Sundance, Cannes, Telluride, and TIFF.
Optimizing A24’s events workflow through the development and maintenance of organizational and budgeting systems, incorporating tools like Google Drive, Dropbox, and emerging technologies, is essential to enhancing operational efficiency. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 10+ years experience in experiential marketing or entertainment events
- Deep knowledge of film and television industry events
- Proven ability to lead complex event execution from ideation to completion
- Strong project management and production skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with union vendors and permitting processes preferred
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Ability to work nontraditional hours during peak events and campaigns
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Familiarity with budgeting and event technology platforms
Job Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in experiential marketing, publicity events, or film/TV entertainment events
- Deep knowledge of the film and television landscape, including awards season, talent handling, and industry events
- A strong understanding of film exhibition standards and technology
- Track record of leading complex, high-profile events from end to end—ideation through execution
- Strong production chops with impeccable attention to detail, time management, and creative problem-solving
- Creativity in spades and experience working within budgets without sacrificing quality and polish
- Excellent communicator and team collaborator
- comfortable working across departments and leadership levels
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on, independent environment
- Experience with union vendors, permitting processes, and festival/event credentialing a plus
- Polished and effective communicator skilled at reporting progress and with years of experience managing others

Job Duties
