BCD Meetings & Events (BCD M&E) is a global leader in meetings and event planning services, dedicated to creating impactful connections that inspire, motivate, and transform behavior for their clients. The company operates with a strong foundation of people, passion, and purpose, driving business success for a diverse range of customers across 60 plus countries. With over 2,000 employees worldwide, BCD M&E emphasizes sustainability and values a culture of empathy, flexibility, and innovation. Headquartered in Chicago, BCD M&E is recognized as the most trusted and innovative agency in its sector, caring deeply about the quality of work and the communities it serves. The organization offers a dynamic working environment with opportunities for growth and the chance to be part of meaningful work that shapes global meetings and congresses.
The role of Global Account Director for Pharmaceutical Meetings & Congresses is a critical position designed for a strategic thinker with the ability to manage complex global programs within the highly regulated life sciences sector. This role requires balancing the demands of large-scale client relationships with detailed operational consistency and compliance requirements. As a leader of global client partnerships, the successful candidate will transform business objectives into scalable meeting strategies that align with a fast-paced, regulated environment. Managing budgets, financial forecasts, and profitability considerations alongside client expectations are key facets of this role. The position demands a mix of strategic consulting, relationship management, and operational execution, with a significant focus on influencing stakeholders using data-driven insights and storytelling.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience supporting pharmaceutical meetings or congress programs and a comprehensive understanding of global account management principles. They must be comfortable leading presentations, strategic reviews, and workshops with senior stakeholders, as well as navigating the complexities of meeting technology and global program delivery. This role is well suited to individuals who thrive in collaborative environments, working across markets and teams to ensure seamless operations and outstanding client experiences.
BCD M&E supports flexible working arrangements, encouraging employees to work in ways that best suit their productivity and lifestyle. While the role favors candidates based in Chicago’s headquarters with a hybrid working model, remote candidates located in Central or Eastern US time zones will also be considered. Travel requirements are minimal, with less than 25 percent travel expected.
The company offers a competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. Employees at BCD M&E benefit from comprehensive healthcare coverage, retirement plans, educational opportunities, as well as diverse work locations and perks such as travel discounts and employee recognition programs. Leadership at BCD M&E is committed to fostering a positive, supportive culture where every voice is valued, and professional growth is actively encouraged. Joining BCD M&E means embarking on a career journey with an industry leader where meaningful work and personal development go hand in hand.
