The Culinary Lead must be adept in food safety regulations, inventory control, and equipment operation. They also play an essential role in catering operations and must coordinate with both back-of-house and front-of-house teams to ensure customer satisfaction and efficiency. Handling customer complaints and resolving problems effectively are key responsibilities, and the Culinary Lead often takes on front-of-house duties such as taking orders and processing payments when necessary.
Working as a Culinary Lead at H-E-B means being part of a dynamic environment that requires the ability to multitask, function under pressure, and uphold the company’s commitment to quality and customer service. The role offers an opportunity to grow your leadership skills within a well-established organization that values its employees and invests in their professional development. It also requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail food environment, with demands such as lifting heavy items, standing for long periods, and maintaining strict compliance with food safety standards.
