As a pivotal part of the restaurant’s leadership, the General Manager reports directly to the New Business Division Director or Senior Manager and holds the critical responsibility of ensuring the smooth daily operation of the restaurant. The General Manager is expected to lead the team from the front, actively engaging in day-to-day activities while driving key performance indicators such as sales, profit margins, and QSC (Quality, Service, and Cleanliness). Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in restaurant management or similar leadership role
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- knowledge of OSHA and food safety standards
- strong leadership and communication skills
- ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
- availability to work a minimum of 45 hours per week
- capability to transfer to other store locations as needed
Job Qualifications
- ability to read, write, and speak English (Japanese bilingual preferred)
- knowledge of state’s OSHA regulations and food sanitation/safety standards applicable in the state
- skill in managing cost of goods and labor within budget goals
- leadership by example with strong initiative
- ability to develop and execute succession training plans
- experience using POS systems and restaurant management software
- ability to memorize and explain menu items clearly
- maintain an organized, clean, and professional work environment
- knowledge of and/or experience in ramen operations is a plus
