The General Utility Worker role at Aramark is an entry-level position that plays a critical part in maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchens and food service environments. As a General Utility Worker, your primary focus will be on ensuring that all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet safety and hygiene standards. Beyond dishwashing duties, you will be responsible for maintaining the dishwashing station and related areas in a clean and organized manner. This position also involves performing light maintenance and custodial tasks, ensuring equipment is in good working condition, and reporting any operational issues to management promptly.

Customer service is a key element of the role, so maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent service to guests, customers, clients, and coworkers is essential. Workers in this role must adhere strictly to Aramark’s safety policies, including proper food safety and sanitation procedures, and ensure the security of company assets. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous experience in dishwashing or cleaning roles is an advantage
  • physical ability to perform duties including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking or standing
  • ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
  • availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • reports any issues to management
  • performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • ensures security of company assets
