The General Utility Worker position at Aramark is an entry-level role essential to maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in dining and kitchen environments. This role focuses on ensuring all dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment are meticulously cleaned and sanitized to meet stringent safety and hygiene standards. The position involves maintaining dishwashing stations, including the three-compartment sinks and surrounding areas, and conducting light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed. Job Requirements

  • Basic understanding of sanitation procedures
  • Ability to follow safety procedures related to hazardous chemicals
  • Availability for flexible work hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical capability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment as required

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • Reports any equipment issues to management
  • Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
