The General Utility Worker role at Aramark is an essential position within our dynamic service team. This entry-level position focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of kitchenware, equipment, and the environment to uphold the highest standards of food safety and customer satisfaction. As a General Utility Worker, you play a pivotal role in supporting the operational success of food service areas by ensuring that dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, and kitchen utensils are consistently cleaned and sanitized. Beyond dishwashing duties, this role involves maintaining the dishwashing station and related areas such as the three-compartment sink, ensuring all equipment is clean, in good working order, and reporting any malfunctions to management promptly.

In this role, maintaining excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, and coworkers is imperative. The General Utility Worker also performs light maintenance and custodial tasks to contribute to a hygienic and organized work environment. Adherence to Aramark’s strict safety protocols, including proper food safety and sanitation procedures, is mandatory. The position demands flexibility with working hours, including the ability to work evenings and weekends to meet business needs. Physical demands are part of the day-to-day responsibilities and may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking and standing. The role may require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and uniforms to ensure safety and compliance.
