Rooted in service and united by a strong purpose, Aramark strives to make a meaningful impact not only for its customers but also for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company is committed to fostering an inclusive work environment where every employee enjoys equal employment opportunities and can freely participate in all aspects of the organization. Aramark values diversity and does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, pregnancy, disability, genetic information, military or protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. This broad commitment to equality underscores Aramark’s reputation as an employer of choice and a place where careers are developed and talents nurtured.\n\nThe Lead General Utility Worker at Aramark plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of both the front and back of house facilities. This position is typically a supervisory role with responsibilities that include oversight or delegation of duties to additional utility workers, ensuring that all maintenance and sanitation tasks are completed to the highest standards. The hourly compensation for this role ranges from $17.50 to $18.50, reflecting the importance Aramark places on experienced and reliable utility staff. The Lead General Utility Worker is tasked with ensuring guest satisfaction by keeping kitchen utensils, dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, and equipment thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to company standards and safety guidelines. Beyond cleaning, this role involves the upkeep of dishwashing stations, storerooms, refrigerators, and other related areas to maintain operational efficiency and health compliance. Equipment maintenance is also a part of daily duties; the lead worker must ensure that all tools and machines are in good working order and promptly report any malfunctions to management.\n\nThis position requires someone who demonstrates strong leadership qualities by training and guiding utility staff on their duties, promoting proper safety and sanitation procedures, and fostering a positive working environment. The lead worker must maintain excellent customer service and demonstrate a positive attitude, which significantly contributes to both team morale and overall guest experience. The physical demands of the role can include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing for extended periods. Use of uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory to ensure safety and hygiene. As Aramark is customer-focused and service-driven, employees in this position must be flexible and adaptable, as job duties can change or new responsibilities may be assigned without formal notice to meet client and business needs.\n\nAramark offers a comprehensive benefits package to eligible employees, including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings plans such as 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and disability coverage. Benefits may vary based on location, eligibility, and applicable legal requirements. This position does not have a predetermined application window and will remain open until a qualified candidate is selected. Individuals with arrest or conviction records will be considered in compliance with fair chance laws, including local ordinances like the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance where applicable. Working at Aramark means joining a company dedicated to professional growth, inclusion, and service excellence, offering a meaningful and stable career path with opportunities to develop new skills and advance within the organization.
