The role of General Utility Worker I at Aramark is an essential position within the Food & Beverage (F&B) division that combines responsibilities across both the front of house and back of house operations. This position requires individuals to maintain a safe, sanitary working environment while developing a thorough knowledge of the proper use and cleaning techniques for kitchen equipment. The General Utility Worker I is instrumental in supporting kitchen staff by ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to.

As a General Utility Worker I, the employee's duties include monitoring and recording food and equipment temperatures, maintaining cleanliness of pots, dishes, and kitchen areas, and performing deep cleaning tasks. They will also assist chefs with food deliveries, ensuring accepted produce meets the highest standards. Moreover, the role involves strict compliance with company health and safety policies, personal hygiene regulations, and food hygiene laws. The worker is also responsible for rotating stock correctly and preparing service areas to facilitate smooth operational flow. The role demands physical stamina including the ability to lift, bend, push, pull, and stand for extended periods, often while wearing uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE).

Job Duties
- Monitor and record food and equipment temperature
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment including pot/dish wash and deep clean duties
- Attend in-house training sessions
- Maintain personal hygiene, appearance, and uniform to company regulations always
- Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company's health and safety policy
- Comply and assist in the promotion and implementation of the company's policies and procedures
- Ensure all food hygiene regulations are adhered to
- Assist chefs with checking in food deliveries ensuring only high standards produce is accepted
- Ensure that all food storage aligns with food hygiene regulations and that stock rotation system is followed
- Perform cleaning duties associated with service and related equipment or furniture
- Prepare service area and/or service points
- Ensure accurate storage of food items and equipment after service
