The General Utility Worker role at Aramark is a vital position responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the kitchen and food service environments. As a member of the dedicated service team, you will be instrumental in ensuring that dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, kitchen utensils, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized to meet safety and quality standards. Your daily responsibilities will include managing the dishwashing station, maintaining cleanliness in the three-compartment sink and related areas, and ensuring that all equipment is sanitized and functioning properly. Strong communication and a positive attitude towards colleagues, guests, clients, and customers are essential to delivering outstanding service. This position requires flexibility as work hours may include evenings and weekends, and there is a physical component that involves lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Job Requirements

  • Basic understanding of sanitation procedures
  • Ability to follow safety procedures due to hazardous chemical exposure
  • Availability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking or standing
  • Willingness to wear uniforms and/or personal protective equipment (PPE)

Job Qualifications

  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic sanitation procedures
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures due to exposure to hazardous chemicals
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • reports any issues to management
  • Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
  • Ensures security of company assets
