The General Utility Worker position at Aramark is an entry-level role critical to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation within the company’s food service and facility operations. As a General Utility Worker, you will be an essential member of the team, responsible for cleaning dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, and various kitchen utensils to ensure guest satisfaction. This role demands meticulous attention to detail as you also maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of dishwashing stations, three-compartment sinks, and related kitchen areas. Your responsibilities extend to reporting any equipment issues to management and performing light maintenance and custodial tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

  • Physical ability to perform lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing
  • Ability to wear uniforms and/or use personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Must be able to follow basic safety procedures
  • Must be available to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends

Job Duties

  • Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils are cleaned and sanitized
  • Maintains dishwashing station, three compartment sink and related areas cleaned
  • Ensures equipment is clean and in working condition
  • Reports any issues to management
  • Performs other light maintenance and custodial tasks
  • Maintains excellent customer service and positive attitude towards guest, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
  • Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
