Job Description

The Ritz-Carlton, located at 1250 S Hayes St, Arlington, Virginia, is an iconic luxury hotel known worldwide for its exceptional service and commitment to creating unforgettable guest experiences. With over 100 award-winning hotels globally, The Ritz-Carlton epitomizes luxury hospitality and aims to deliver excellence in care and guest comfort. Part of Marriott International, one of the world's leading hospitality companies, The Ritz-Carlton proudly fosters a diverse and welcoming environment that celebrates the unique backgrounds, talents, and experiences of its associates. The company is steadfast in its dedication to providing equal employment opportunities and promoting an inclusive culture that values creativity, kindness, and compassion among its team members.

The role of Honor Bar Attendant at The Ritz-Carlton in Arlington, Virginia, is a full-time, non-management position with an hourly pay range of $22.43 to $24.92. This position is essential to the seamless operation of guest services, particularly within the rooms and guest services operations category. The Honor Bar Attendant contributes directly to the memorable stays guests enjoy by ensuring that all guests have access to refreshments and that the bar is maintained to the highest standards. The role requires constant movement throughout the hotel, including working in confined spaces and occasionally elevated areas, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of various departments including housekeeping, engineering, banquets, restaurants, and front desk.

The Honor Bar Attendant is responsible for executing multiple duties to maintain both guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. These include delivering items directly to guest rooms, supporting other hotel departments by delivering equipment or supplies, inspecting tools and equipment for proper function, and adhering to Marriott’s and The Ritz-Carlton’s rigorous quality standards. The position demands physical stamina as associates are often on their feet, walking extensively, lifting and moving objects up to 55 pounds without assistance, and navigating stairs and ramps.

Adhering to company policies and procedures is fundamental, including maintaining confidentiality, protecting company assets, and upholding professional personal appearance and communication at all times. The Honor Bar Attendant plays a pivotal role in creating a safe and productive work environment. Moreover, each day on the job involves embodying the 'Gold Standards' of The Ritz-Carlton, which guide associates to provide exceptional service with grace and attentiveness. This cultural foundation is what distinguishes The Ritz-Carlton as a global luxury leader and empowers its employees to take pride in their work and contribute meaningfully to guest experiences.

Working at The Ritz-Carlton is more than just a job; it is an opportunity to join a global family devoted to hospitality excellence. Employees are encouraged to develop their skills and are supported in becoming the best versions of themselves while fulfilling a meaningful purpose. Joining The Ritz-Carlton means becoming part of a dedicated team that values innovation, teamwork, and personal growth, and that sets high standards for both guest service and employee satisfaction. With a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere, competitive pay, and opportunities for career advancement within Marriott International’s extensive portfolio, this Honor Bar Attendant position offers a rewarding career path in luxury hospitality.
