Marriott International is a globally renowned hospitality company known for its commitment to excellence and innovation in the hotel industry. As a leader in luxury accommodation and guest services, Marriott operates a vast portfolio of hotels including the prestigious JW Marriott brand, which represents the pinnacle of luxury and personalized guest experiences. Marriott Hotels are dedicated not only to providing exceptional comfort and service to guests worldwide but also to fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace where employees feel valued and empowered. The company's culture centers on mutual respect, professional growth, and creating memorable experiences for both guests and staff.

The JW Marriott Washington DC, located at 1331 Pennsylvania Ave NW, stands as an emblem of luxury and hospitality in the nation’s capital. This property offers employees a unique opportunity to be part of a prestigious brand known for its innovative approach to the art of hospitality. JW Marriott believes that happy employees create happy guests, and it cultivates an environment that supports personal development, camaraderie, and a holistic approach to well-being. With over 100 properties worldwide, JW Marriott is committed to nurturing talent through training, recognition, and opportunities to pursue professional passion.

The role currently hiring is a part-time, non-management position within the Rooms and Guest Services Operations category. This position primarily focuses on supporting the hotel’s operational flow by assisting multiple departments including housekeeping, engineering, banquet, restaurants, and front desk to enhance guest satisfaction and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of the hotel. The position involves a dynamic and physically active work environment where the employee serves as a vital link to enable guests and staff to have timely access to needed items and services.

The pay rate begins at $22.68 per hour, with opportunities to increase wages after six months and one year to $25.47 and $30.25 per hour respectively. Additionally, the role offers comprehensive benefits such as healthcare, paid leave, life insurance, disability coverage, and wellness benefits, subject to eligibility. This package reflects Marriott’s commitment to taking care of its associates as part of the world-class service experience.

In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks that keep the hotel's operations running smoothly. Whether it is delivering items directly to guest rooms or assisting other hotel departments with material handling, this position demands energy, attention to detail, and flexibility. The role requires physical stamina as it involves significant standing, walking, lifting of objects up to 55 pounds, and navigating through constrained and elevated spaces. The worker needs to be proactive, ensuring that equipment and tools are in proper condition, and maintaining a professional appearance and communication at all times.

Working at the JW Marriott Washington DC means becoming part of a global team dedicated to excellence and service innovation. The company values diversity and promotes an inclusive environment where experiences and cultural backgrounds enrich the workplace. Employees are expected to adhere to company policies regarding safety, confidentiality, and quality standards, always aiming to contribute positively to both guest satisfaction and business success.

This position offers a unique chance to grow within a prestigious international brand, gain valuable experience, and be part of a noble tradition that has defined hospitality for decades. The environment encourages teamwork, professional development, and supports each associate's journey to become their best self through the JW Treatment™ approach. Prospective candidates will find a welcoming culture that values integrity, innovation, and genuine care for both colleagues and guests.
