The Crystal Gateway Marriott offers a vibrant and dynamic work environment that fosters growth, teamwork, and innovation, reflecting Marriott's mission to provide Wonderful Hospitality. Always. This establishment strives to uphold these values by creating memorable experiences for its guests through meticulous attention to detail, dedicated service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

The role of the Runner at the Crystal Gateway Marriott is an essential non-management position within the Rooms & Guest Services Operations department. This full-time role offers an hourly pay rate ranging from $19.55 to $21.72, with eligibility for tips, making it a rewarding position both professionally and financially. The Runner is critical in ensuring smooth hotel operations by providing timely delivery of items and support to various departments such as housekeeping, engineering, banquets, restaurants, and the front office. Working across departments, the Runner facilitates seamless communication and coordination, thus enhancing the overall guest experience at the hotel.

Runners at the Crystal Gateway Marriott are dynamic team members who move throughout the hotel to fulfill the needs of both guests and associates. They are on their feet for extended periods, frequently walking, standing, or sitting, often navigating narrow or confined areas, stairs, or service ramps. This role requires physical activity such as lifting and moving objects weighing up to 55 pounds, bending, twisting, and stooping, demonstrating a hands-on approach to work responsibilities. Each task performed by the Runner is vital to the hotel's day-to-day operations and guest satisfaction.

Beyond physical tasks, the Runner role emphasizes professionalism in appearance and communication, adherence to company policies, safety standards, and confidentiality. The position provides an excellent opportunity for individuals who may be new to the hospitality industry, as no prior experience or supervisory background is required, and educational requirements are minimal, typically a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Additionally, the hotel offers a great benefits package, including complementary meals and parking, retirement plans, and stock options, making this an attractive career path for motivated individuals looking to grow within a reputable hospitality organization.

Marriott International is deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering a workplace where associates from all backgrounds feel valued, celebrated, and empowered. The Crystal Gateway Marriott is no exception and maintains a culture that respects non-discrimination laws, welcoming veterans, individuals with disabilities, and all qualified candidates without bias. Joining the Crystal Gateway Marriott means becoming part of a global team that prioritizes associate well-being and development, offering training, recognition, and opportunities for career advancement.

This position is not remote; it requires on-site presence to fully engage with the hotel environment and guests it serves during day and evening shifts. The role demands flexibility in scheduling, reflecting the hotel's commitment to meeting guest needs at all hours.
