Job Requirements
- must be at least 18 years of age
- able to stand on concrete or platforms for up to a 12-hour shift
- capable of performing continuous repetitive movements including grasping, pinching, flexing, and extending arms
- willing to work in cold (20-40 degrees) and warm (over 100 degrees) environments
- able to work around animal blood and carcass parts
- capable of working while wearing hard hats, hearing and eye protection, and steel-toed safety shoes
- able to work in noisy environments with personal protective equipment
- willing to work with sanitation and cleaning chemicals
- able to climb ladders, steps, stairways, walkways, and platforms
- capable of bending, stooping, twisting, and walking long distances
- may require certification to operate specific equipment
- able to safely lift up to 30 lbs repetitively and single lift up to 60 lbs or use mechanical assistance for lifting
- able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in food production or meat processing is an asset
- ability to follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment
- strong attention to detail and reliability
- good hand-eye coordination
- ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- willingness to learn and work effectively in a team setting
Job Duties
- work with hand tools, knives, machinery, and other equipment to process meat products
- perform essential production tasks as part of a team
- maintain safety standards and ensure high-quality food production
- support coworkers to foster a positive work environment
- follow oral and written instructions accurately
- work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed
- operate equipment safely with required certifications if applicable
