Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Willing and able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
  • Capable of continuous repetitive hand and arm movements
  • Able to stand for up to 12-hour shifts on concrete or platforms
  • Comfortable working around animal blood and carcass parts
  • Must be able to work with knives if trained
  • Able to work in cold (20-40 degrees) and warm (over 100 degrees) environments
  • Can work in wet and humid conditions
  • Willing to wear hard hats, hearing and eye protection, steel-toed safety shoes
  • Able to work in noisy environments using personal protective equipment
  • Comfortable working with sanitation and cleaning chemicals
  • Able to tolerate strong smells and odors
  • Able to climb and move on ladders, steps, stairways, walkways and platforms
  • Able to bend, stoop and twist repetitively throughout a shift
  • Able to walk long distances
  • Capable of physically demanding work including lifting up to 60 lbs with or without mechanical assistance
